Not supporting older software is one thing, but not supporting software that you STILL sell, is completely unacceptable. Not that it will matter to them, by I am not giving Blizzard another cent of my money. If a person already owns the game, and may even have the non-functional installer sitting desperately in their downloads folder, what possible harm could come from posting the files? I have looked around the web, and have not been able to find them anywhere, yet you can find every other software, and every type if niche pornography that exists. Without a SN, they game can't be installed, that's why that failsafe exists.

IMO there is nothing wrong with posting the updated game files, so long as you don't post Serial Numbers. Of course wine is an option, but it's wonky and doesn't run nearly as well as it should. Most likely, people decided to play Blizzard games because they ran natively on Mac OS, that's my situation anyway.

Just as many of us don't wan't to install Windows either via Bootcamp or a virtualization software. A lot of us don't have multiple Macs that we can use, or have any that have not been upgraded past 10.6.8. The thing is, they still sell the game at stores, system requirements say 10.3.9 or later. It's clear at this point they have no intention of updating the installer.
Warcraft III: Years Later and Still no Updated Installer Just some proof, so help validate my claim. After repeating everything and connecting to Battle.Net on the new account on the new computer it worked fine. I did this the first time I attempted and after working it went back to having the white crossed out circle logo). Now, go to finder, then to the right side there should be an option under SHARED, listing the name of the Mac you plan on transferring from.
